Hello Everyone!
I am thinking about applying for the RIBS program, however, I have a few questions. Plus, it is very expensive and so in order to attend I need to get local organizations to sponsor me.
Has anyone ever attended Research in the Biological Sciences (RIBS) Summer Program for High School Students at the U of Chicago?
If so, can you give me as much information as possible about and also answer my questions to the best of your ability.
Would you do the program again?
Did it cover a lot of information not covered in your freshman Biology class?
Did it help prepare you for AP Biology?
How difficult is it to get invited back to research the following summer/Did you get invited back?
Did you learn about how to research?
Does it prepare you for the Intel STS Competition?
Does it help you get accepted to other University Research opportunities the following summer? (i.e. Research Science Institute)
Would you reccomend taking it?
How difficult is it to get financial assistance (i.e. 50% off tuition)?
What do you do on the weekends?
How does it look on a college application?
Thank you! Any reply will be appreciated!
